Basics
Landing pages
Every app gets a fast, mobile-first landing page at mapps.one/habitly/page. It is built from your store listing, so there is nothing to design. The same page appears at your smart link for visitors who are not redirected to a store, such as desktop visitors and link preview bots.
What is on the page
- App icon, name, tagline, and the rating and price from the store listing
- Store badges for every store link you added. The visitor's own store comes first: Google Play for Android, AppGallery for Huawei, Microsoft Store for Windows, and the App Store for everyone else.
- A swipeable screenshot gallery
- The description and an optional feature list with an icon, title and short text for each feature
- Your website and social profiles: X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, GitHub, Discord and Reddit
- Developer name and contact email
- Links to your published privacy policy and terms, and to the press kit when it is turned on
- A QR code so desktop visitors can continue on their phone
- A small "Report" link that visitors can use to flag abuse
Buttons and labels on the page are shown in the visitor's language whenever mapps.one supports it. The text you write is shown as you wrote it.
Import from the store
When you add an App Store or Google Play link, mapps.one imports the name, icon, screenshots, tagline, description, category, developer name and website, rating and price. To import again, use Re-import store details on the app's Links page.
- The weekly refresh of live apps fills in only the fields that are empty, and adds screenshots only if the app has none. Your edits are kept. Rating and price are always updated.
- Re-import store details replaces the name, icon, text fields and screenshots with the current store versions.
Listings are re-read automatically once a week to keep ratings and prices current.
Edit the content
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Tagline | One short line under the app name, up to 160 characters. |
| Description | The longer text about your app. It starts as the store description, and you can rewrite it for the web. |
| Features | A short list of highlights with an icon, a title and a sentence each. Items without a title are hidden. |
| Icon | An image up to 2 MB. Square images of 512 × 512 px or larger look best. |
| Screenshots | Up to 4 MB each. Portrait and landscape are both supported. Free shows up to 5, paid plans up to 10. Drag to reorder. |
| Social links | Full https:// addresses. Empty fields are hidden. |
Themes and colour
| Theme | Look | Plans |
|---|---|---|
| Clean | Light and neutral | All plans |
| Midnight | Dark | Pro, Studio, Lifetime |
| Vivid | Bold and colourful | Pro, Studio, Lifetime |
On paid plans you can also set an accent colour as a hex value such as #16a34a. On the Free plan the preview lets you try every theme, but visitors see the Clean theme until you upgrade.
Badge and white label
On the Free plan the page shows a small mapps.one badge. Pro, Studio and Lifetime remove it. On Studio you can go further and add your own brand name, website and logo (up to 1 MB) in the workspace settings. They are shown on the pages of every app in that workspace, which suits agencies that publish pages for clients.
Sharing and search
The page includes Open Graph and Twitter Card tags. The preview image is your first screenshot, or the icon when there are no screenshots. Pages are served from cache for about a minute, so an edit can take a minute or two to reach visitors. The dashboard preview always shows your latest changes.
Explore
Turn on List this app in Explore in the app settings to show your app in the public directory at mapps.one/explore, grouped by category. It is off by default. We may hide listings that break our terms or look low quality.
Abuse reports
Visitors can report a page as phishing or a scam, malware, impersonation, spam, a copyright or trademark issue, or something else. Each visitor can report an app once a day. Our team reviews every report. If several reports are open at the same time, the app is suspended automatically until someone reviews it, to protect visitors while we check.
On your own domain
With a custom domain on the Studio plan, the landing page is served at the root of your domain, for example https://get.habitly.app.
